Errol E LeslieThe Rev. Dr. Errol E Leslie is the founding pastor of Grace and Mercy Ministries Inc. Palm Bay, Florida. Prior to starting that congregation, he served as a pastor in the Methodist Church of the Caribbean and the Americas, as well as the Florida and he New England Conferences of the United Methodist Church. He is originally from Jamaica where he attended high school, college, and seminary. In high school, he was very involved in the interschool Christian fellowships and participated in several weekend residential camps, all of which turned out to be spiritually uplifting. After graduating seminary, he served a number of small churches where he specialized in evangelism and youth ministry to include being a camp counsellor for several years in the Methodist church. He previously published the book Stolen Grace in which he tells the story of his journey in and departure from the United Methodist Church. Although not having any professional training in theater, Rev. Dr. Leslie has used his innate talent throughout the years to utilize drama as a very useful and effective tool throughout his ministry. His love for and involvement in drama started from his days in high school when he would work backstage during productions as well as playing various roles onstage including several lead roles. During this same period as a teenager, he would write, direct, and produce Christian plays which were done competitively at church events. He also wrote plays which did not necessarily carry a Christian theme, but still earned rave reviews in the communities in which they would be performed. His passion for the arts continued during his college and seminary days as once more, he would play leading roles in plays at that level. His first opportunity to perform internationally came in 1976 when he visited Nassau in the Bahamas for a series of concerts. He then participated in both drama and music as he was also a member of the UTCWI (United Theological College of the West Indies) singers. Rev. Dr. Leslie is also a singer and a self taught musician with the gift of being able to play several musical instruments. For a long time, he and his family participated in a reggae gospel music ministry where they were able to minster in song to several audiences all over Jamaica and in several states within the USA. He is happy to share these two musicals with the rest of the world, with the hope that there will be several more Bible-based musicals to follow. Read More Read Less
