He graduated from the University of California, Santa Cruz and received his PhD in the history of art and architecture from Harvard University, Department of Fine Arts. Currenly working as Head Librarian at the Menil Collection in Houston, Texas, he has previously worked at the New York School of Interior Design, and the Frick Collection.
