Emmanuel I UnuabonahEmmanuel Iyayi Unuabonah is a Professor in the Department of Chemical Sciences Redeemers University in Nigeria and also the head of the Environmental and Chemical Processes Research Group in the University. His research focuses on the preparation andcharacterization of functional composite materials from local materials and agrowastes with the aim of treating water. He is currently developing photocatalytic materials from low-cost sources for water disinfection. He has published many articles in international peer-reviewed Journals and has two national patents. He has won several national and international awards, research grants and fellowships and he is the Founding President of the Nigerian Young Academy and an alumnus of the TWAS Young Affiliate program and of the Global Young Academy. He is also an Editorial Board member of HELIYON (Materials Science Section).
