Emma Steel
Emma Steel taught in Special Educational Needs for many years. It was whilst teaching that she developed a passion for making books accessible to people who have varied barriers to reading. She did this through bringing books alive in the classroo.
She has now left her career in teaching, moving into publishing. As Head of Every Cherry Publishing, she strives to make accessible books for people with disabilities to read and enjoy. When she isn't reading, Emma can be found spending time with family and friends and visiting the coast as often as possible.
