Emily Saunders NguyenIntrigued by both Western and Eastern traditions, Emily Saunders Nguyen is a poet and sometime translator from Classical Japanese. Some of her translations have appeared in the journal Archae. Her poem "February in Jersey" was a finalist in a poetry ontest by gsu review (now called New South). An 8-page poem of hers, "The Hamlet and Ophelia Letters," was performed at the Shakespeare Festival in Princeton a few years back and appears in English in the Swedish international journal ARS InterPress (no. 8-9). As a member of US1 Poets Cooperative, she has served as Poetry Editor on occasion, and has an MA both in Japanese Language and Literature, and in Comparative Literature. Read More Read Less
