Elwood ChristElwood "Woody" Christ was born in Allentown, Pennsylvania, and spent many of his 60 years in his beloved Gettysburg, where he passed away in 2014. He was a 1975 graduate of Gettysburg College, a well-known local historian, and a Licensed Battlefield uide at Gettysburg National Military Park. He obtained an M.A. in American Studies from Penn State University--Harrisburg. Woody served as Assistant Director of the Adams County Historical Society for many years and worked with a host of other associations.
