Ellen LacapriaSr. Ellen LaCapria was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania but grew-up in the Washington Metropolitan area for most of her life. Drawn to the arts at an early age, she has participated in the visual arts, music and dance-movement. She entered the Daughtrs of Charity while in college and has just celebrated her 40th anniversary. Her degrees range from a BA in art/secondary education, a BSN in nursing to a Masters in Art Therapy. Today she is involved primarily in graphic design, in the healthcare arena as a trustee for three separate organizations, as a spiritual guide for the Arlington St. Vincent de Paul Society, but more importantly, as a caregiver for her mother.
