Elizabeth SzewczykAuthor Elizabeth Szewczyk is a writer of poetry and prose. She is the author of two memoirs (My Bags Were Always Packed and One Pound At A Time) and three poetry books (This Becoming, On Burying Moths and Calendars, and Fragments of Survival). She isa past editor of the poetry journal Freshwater, and has taught elementary education, remedial reading, and college composition and literature. Her work has appeared in Big Table, The Red River Review, Paper Nautilus, Poetry for Poets, Pulse (American Medical Association), Sanskrit, Shapes, Westward Quarterly, Chanterelle's Notebook, Freshwater and others. Elizabeth's work has been nominated for the Pushcart Prize in Poetry and she is a recipient of the Connecticut Celebration of Excellence award in writing and literature.
