Elizabeth JuradoElizabeth Jurado was born and raised in El Paso, Texas.She grew up experiencing life in a unique way living in the southern United States/Mexico border city of El Paso where the influence of both the American and Mexican cultures merge. This coexistece of the two cultures left an impressionable impact in her memories of the food, the language, and the Spanish tales not found anywhere else. It was those memories of her childhood that inspired her to write Saygar the Magnificent! In addition to her unique experiences growing up in El Paso, Elizabeth Jurado worked as a teacher within the local school districts. After working as a substitute teacher and a first-grade teacher, Elizabeth made a life changing decision to walk away from her career to raise her three sons. For the next twenty-three years, she took on the challenging role of a stay-at-home mom. During those years, she began writing Saygar the Magnificent, finding inspirations from the classrooms where she had the privilege of teaching many young students full of unforgettable personalities, her childhood, and her own sons.
