Elise van Nederveen MeerkerkElise van Nederveen Meerkerk is Senior Researcher at the International Institute of Social History. In 2007, she completed her PhD thesis on women's work in the early modern Dutch textile industry. She has published several articles on the history ofwomen's and children's work, including in The Economic History Review (2010), Continuity and Change (2008) and International Review of Social History (2006). She co-edited two extensive volumes on the global history of child labor from 1650-2000 (2011) and on textile workers around the world from 1650-2000 (2010).
