Growing up with a single mother, four sisters (the only boy), and a female bestfriend (Paige) I routinel saw firsthand the pain, struggle, and hardship that women go through emotionally and mentally. Mental and physical abuse was routine in my household. Being a small boy, I never knew what to say or how to help so I would just go to my room and started to escape by going inside my head. Here, I would replay a bad moment and reshape it to where it favored my mother or sister they were heard and respected or fought back and won inside my head. It was here that my imagination started to expand and my creativity grew. I was writing poems and songs by the age of twelve and completed my first novel (unpublished) by 2010.
