Eli LieberDr. Eli Lieber has spent over 20 years at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) focused on the advancement of thinking about and strategically implementing qualitative and mixed methods approaches in social science research. Eli's rcent work has focused on the continued development of mixed methods strategies. He is particularly interested in what we do with all the data we gather, how we integrate data, and how evolving technologies can make our research and evaluation more efficient and effective. As for next steps, Eli is looking forward to continuing his work with his Institute for Mixed Methods Research (IMMR) colleagues; a truly diverse group of individuals from around the world. Dr. Lieber believes the IMMR mission will be an ongoing service to building methodological capacity, relationship building, engagement and communication regarding evolving mixed methods work, and bringing the deep experience of IMMR associates into the service of those employing these practices. Dr. Lieber is optimistic about how strong mixed methods research can benefit the social sciences through engaging with colleagues directly, with groups at larger institutions and professional organizations, and through the forging of strategic partnerships.
