Eleanor WatkinsI was born on a remote Welsh hill farm, married a farmer and have always lived in the country. I wanted to write almost as soon as I could read, and began at once, in pencil on any scrap of paper to hand. And I read, and read and read. I mostly writefiction for children. I live near the book town of Hay-on-Wye, and many of my books have a local or rural setting. As well as four adult children, I have a husband, five grandchildren and a collection of cats.
