Eleanor RaymondEleanor Raymond (1887-1973) was educated at Wellesley College and the Cambridge School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture, graduating in 1919. Her professional career spanned some sixty years of practice, focused on residential housing. Her iterest in progressive materials and building systems led her to design a Plywood House in 1940 and one of the first successful solar-heated buildings in the Northeast, the Sun House in 1948.
