Elaine Tornés BlancoElaine Tornés Blanco was born in 1990. She had lived in Cuba, Chile, Puerto Rico, and the United States. She is a bilingual professional with a bachelor's degree in Psychology (Magna Cum Laude) from the University of Puerto Rico (UPR). She has a Juri Doctor (Cum Laude) from the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico, School of Law, where she published two articles for its law journal Revista de Estudios Críticos del Derecho, CLAVE. Elaine has experience in Human Resources for the public sector and has written in Puerto Rico's second-largest newspaper. She has been the recipient of poetry and short story awards. She writes short stories for Sesame Street and is passionate about books, art, and technology. She was the founder and president of a non-profit organization dedicated to the fight against cancer. Her poems were published in the anthology Poetas que Cruzan el Mar, and she is the author of Adventures of human and non-human beings: Children's stories of childhood in defense of animals (also in Spanish and braille).
