Elaine StromElaine Margret Strom was born and grew up on the prairies of southern Saskatchewan. After graduating from St. Paul's Hospital in Saskatoon, she worked for fifty years as a Registered Nurse. She holds a Baccalaureate Arts Degree in Psychology from theUniversity of Alberta and Athabasca University, as well as, a Graduate Arts Degree in Psychology from the Saybrook Institute in San Francisco. Elaine has previously self-published a book of poetry, Under a Texas Moon: Subliminal Strains of Sighs from My Soul, and a memoir, Hurricane IKE: A Survivor's Chronological and Contemplative Narration of the Great Storm of Galveston, 2008. Writing is a means of emotional release, self-expression, and creativity for Elaine. After living and working for more than a decade on the Gulf Coast of Texas, Elaine retired back to Alberta.
