Elaine MalloyHopedale resident Elaine Malloy is the former director of the Bancroft Memorial Library, a building now listed on the National Register of Historic Places, thanks in part to her efforts. She also led the campaign for the restoration of Hopedale's graeful marble Statue of Hope in 2001. Daniel Malloy, a Hopedale native, is a historian and retired teacher.
