Efthymios RizosEfthymios Rizos is a Research Associate at Oxford University. He studied at the Universities of Thessaloniki and Oxford (Dphil) and held postdoctoral fellowships at Koc University and the Netherlands Institute in Turkey. His research focuses on varios aspects of late antique culture, especially on urbanism in the Balkans and Anatolia, architectural history, the cult of saints and hagiography. Alessandra Ricci is Assistant Professor of Byzantine Art and Archaeology at Koc University Istanbul. She studied at the Universities of Rome La Sapienza and Princeton (PhD) and taught at various universities in Italy, Turkey and the United States. Her research interests include Roman and Byzantine archaeology, art and architecture in Constantinople, Anatolia, the Balkans and Italy.
