Edward Lee FlippenEdward Flippen has 35+ years of experience in all manner of energy regulatory proceedings, including matters concerning approval of power plants, transmission lines, affiliate and fnancing applications, as well as general and expedited rate proceedins, He served in the Office of General Counsel of the Virginia State Corporation Commission from 1975-1980, leaving the Commission in 1980 as deputy general counsel.In Addition to his law practice, he has lectured at numerous universities in the U.S. on such topics as trade regulation at the Graduate School of Business at the College of William & Mary; economic regulation at the University of Virginia School of Law and at the Washington. He has also been a guest lecturer at Universities in Australia, Germany, France, Scotland, Sweden, Switzerland, Canada, and in the United Kingdom at the LSE, Cambridge and Oxford. He received his MBA and J.D. from the College of William & Mary, where he served on the Board of Visitors.He is currently lecturer on energy regulation and policy at the University of Virginia School of Law and the Queen Mary University of London.
