"After Allyson," a chapter from his yet to be published novel, Looking for Jack Kerouac, won the 1995 Jack Kerouac Literary Prize. Other awards include a Tennessee Arts Commission Individual Artist Grant and a Chattanooga Allied Arts Individual Artist Grant.
