Earl LynnEarl Lynn's stories are inspired by many long, hot days during the 1960s spent keeping his grandmother company in her small Southern hometown. The middle child of eleven, Earl was allowed to spend the summers with his grandmother and her uncle Elijah who was in his mid-eighties. Earl was greatly fascinated by the stories his great uncle would tell he about how things were when he was growing up in the South. Sometimes Earl played on the floor of his grandmother's bedroom as she talked on the phone with friends and relatives, and couldn't help but overhear about the singular things that were happening during that time.
