Several of his works have claim to lasting fame, notably the novels Howard's End, A Passage to India and A Room With a View. Deeply concerned wit human connection and the barriers created to it by class and social mores, Forster's books were well received in his lifetime and several have gone on to be adapted as celebrated films.
