Dusty TriceDusty Trice was born in Florence, AL, on December 14, 1981, and grew up in Bismarck, ND. He dreamed of being a writer and comedian ever since he was a little kid. He wrote humor columns for his high school student newspaper, won several student journlism awards for his political cartooning, and was the on-air host of Best of the Big Bands on Prairie Public Radio during the swing revival of the 1990s. After high school, Dusty gave up on being funny and went to college at the University of Minnesota, where he floundered and was a terrible student, took on a massive amount of student loan debt, and ultimately was placed on academic probation. He eventually earned a B.S. in Political Science from North Dakota State University. B.S., as you know, is very important in politics.Dusty was a political staffer for 15 years and worked on electoral campaigns and marijuana legalization. He also co-hosted a weekly political talk show on AM950 in the Twin Cities. As a beltway insider in Washington, D.C., Dusty eventually grew to hate politics and distrust all politicians. He decided to leave politics in 2012 to pursue his childhood dream of making people laugh with his jokes and not just his profession.Dusty began moonlighting as a stand-up comedian in 2012 at the Comedy Zone in Charlotte, NC. He moved to Los Angeles in 2013 and co-created the Stand Up Bus in Hollywood in 2014. Dusty wrote and directed the short film MACARONI NECKLACES (2016), had a supporting role in SOME LIKE IT BORING (2018), and as the titular character in BEAUREGARD (2019), in which he did his own stunts? completely nude. He has since written several screenplays, pilot scripts and books, including RISE OF DOCTOR FROWNYFACE.In his spare time, Dusty is an expert recreational gardener, tends to his fruit trees, and creates abstract art from tissue paper.
