Dulal Chandra KarDulal Chandra Kar is an experienced educator in computer science and electrical engineering, with over 30 years of teaching experience across various institutions such as Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, Virginia Tech, Mountain State University, orth Dakota State University, and Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology. He obtained his BS degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology in 1982. He went on to complete his MS in Electrical and Electronics Engineering in 1991, followed by a PhD in Engineering with a specialization in Computer Engineering in 1994, both from North Dakota State University. Currently, Dr. Kar holds the position of full professor in the Department of Computing Sciences at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. He recently served as the Interim Chair of the Department of Computing Sciences at TAMUCC from August 2020 to August 2021. During this time, he managed five programs, including one PhD program in Geospatial Computer Science, one MS program in Computer Science, and one BS program in Computer Science. Dr. Kar has directed several projects funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF), including NSF REU, NSF S-STEM, NSF CRI, and NSF MRI grants. His areas of research interests include information security, network security, unmanned aerial systems, and sensor networks. He has published over 75 papers in peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings. He also edited a book titled “Network Security, Administration and Management: Advancing Technology and Practice,” which was published by IGI Global in 2011.
