Douglas WelchAuthor Douglas Welch, a published writer and professional
librarian, has worked for 13 years at SUNY Canton's
Southworth Library. A resident of the North Country since
1980, he notes that the college is very much a product of the region, refecting both the rugged landscape and the hardy character of its residents.
