Carver College of Medicine and is affiliated with the Iowa City Veterans Affairs Health Care System He is an expert in his field and is nationally and internationally known for his work. He has multiple peer-reviewed publications, book chapters, abstracts, and presentations; has received a variety of federally funded grants; and is an acclaimed educator teaching over 100+ otolaryngology residents, fellows, and advanced practice providers. He is a Fellow in the American Academy of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery, the American College of Surgeons, the American Head and Neck Society, and the Triological Society, and he has received multiple awards for his outstanding achievements. He is the Co-chair for the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Task Force at UI Health Care and serves on countless committees and professional organizations institutionally, statewide, and nationally.
