Along this journey he spent terms as a player, captain, and sometimes Head Coach, of three of Australia's power clubs - Melbourne University, Camberwell and Surrey Park. His adult playing days were supplemented by a broad range of roles in the development and administration of the sport, commencing in 1969 when he became the initiator and driving force behind a junior program to rebuild the ailing Camberwell Club. During the 1970's he served as a Director and General Secretary of the Victorian Lacrosse Association and later contributed during ten years as a Director and President of the Australian Lacrosse Council. For the past three decades he has served as the Honorary Historian for the national governing body and for Lacrosse Victoria, researching and documenting the sport's rich history.
