Doug TannerCoauthor Doug Tanner was born in Brisbane. He lived most of his life in Camp Hill. In 1964, he left home to work in the Queensland Country. In 1968, he joined the Australian Army. Doug did a tour of Vietnam in 1969/ 1970 as an infantry soldier with te 6th Battalion Royal Australian Regiment. He is now retired and is an avid runner and swimmer.
