He obtained his Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from the University of Science and Technology (Kumasi - Ghana), after which he performedhis national service at the Food Research Institute (Ghana) as a technologist. He then proceeded to the Graduate School of Nuclear and Allied Sciences (University of Ghana) where he obtained his Master of Philosophy in Nuclear and Radiochemistry.
