Dorothea CobbDorothea (1930-2009), a beloved wife, mother and grandmother, was always fascinated by history and loved to travel and explore new and interesting places. Having lived in both London and Sydney, she often travelled between the two cities and visited any other destinations along the way. Dorothea's vibrant personality, sense of humour and active lifestyle kept her young at heart, mind and spirit throughout her life, and her home was always filled with love and laughter. The completion of Gallimore, her only novel, was the realisation of a lifelong ambition. Being too busy beforehand with family and countless other artistic pursuits, Dorothea finally commenced the manuscript whilst aged in her 70s, continued it throughout her battle with breast cancer, and completed it only a few weeks before her death in 2009. An accomplished artist, she also painted the Australian landscape seen on the cover of this novel. Read More Read Less
