Doris Ellen EisenDoris Ellen Eisen is a professional printmaker with a Bachelor's of fine arts degree from Queens College. She has also studied art at Pratt Institute, George Washington University, and Montgomery College. Her lithographs, etchings, drawings, and silkscreens have won numerous prizes and are in many private collections. She has taught art to both adults and children in Maryland and New York City. For the last decade, she has also run a custom design ceramic tile studio, supplying hand-painted tiles to dealers and private customers in a dozen states. As an artist, teacher, and tile artisan, she directed the Remember The Children Project for the Holocaust Museum in Washington, D.C. The results of that project are on permanent exhibition at the Holocaust Museum, and involved ten thousand children who created tiles in memory of the children who died during the Holocaust.
