Donald TorrenceI grew up on the south side of Chicago. I was raised by a single mother raising three boys. I was the youngest, so I got the hard times of being the youngest of three boys. If you have read my book, "The Hidden Entrepreneur Within Me" you heard my ful story of how I grew up. It wasn't easy living in my neighborhood. I had to make a choice to get lost in the jail system, drug game, or just blame the world for my problems. I had to work hard, and I struggled many times to find my footing. I started many different businesses. Some succeeded, some failed. I loved working on cars and the outcome of the finished product of fixing something customers thought was broken with no recovery. I found my place in real estate in 1995 and fell in love with the ability to help people and save their futures in ways that most people wish they could. I was able to assist them in understanding their rights if they were faced with foreclosure so the banks' scare tactics were ineffective. Talking to people facing foreclosure led me to write the book "Your Rights with Facing Foreclosure." I found what I loved and learned everything that I could in the real estate space.
