Donald Francis MlekoForbidden is Don's first published novel, although he has more novels stored in an old, rusted Ford pickup parked behind his home near the long-abandoned Mineral Range Railroad tracks. After being honorably discharged from the United States Marine Cops, he practiced his trade as a carpenter and then as a building official until his retirement and resumed writing. In the summer, Don cuts and stacks lots and lots of firewood; in winter, he types lots and lots of words and, every few years, tosses another novel into the old Ford truck.
