Donald C C LeeBorn in San Francisco in 1936, Donald C. Lee received his BA in History and Philosophy at Pomona College. He was a Fulbright Scholar at the University of Tübingen, Germany. After serving as a Marine Corps Officer in Okinawa and the Philippines and stdying French at the University of Geneva, Switzerland, he earned a master's degree in Philosophy at Berkeley-during the Free Speech Movement and anti-war protests-and a Ph.D. in Philosophy at the University of California, San Diego. He taught Philosophy at the University of New Mexico for twenty-five years and at Shaanxi Teachers University in Xi'an, China, the year ending in the Tiananmen Square massacre in 1989.
