Domenick G ScaglioneDomenick, born in Partinico (Sicily) in 1933, after his father's death, spent his childhood in an orphanage. He pursued his studies in Palermo and in 1951 he came to the USA. Working for survival, he attended various night schools, the last being TheStonier Graduate School of Banking. After, he taught nightly for six years at the American Institute of Banking. At Chase Bank, he became vice president and senior credit and marketing officer for Western Europe. Once retired, he founded Intercontinental Associates, Inc. In 1995, President Bill Clinton appointed him chairman of the board of the Albanian-American Enterprise Fund. Domenick has written many essays and short stories and published the first part of his memories in Italian. He has lectured in many US and European universities. For almost thirty years, he was president of Orphans of Italy. In 1996, he founded the Albanian Children Fund in New York and the Albanian Children Foundation in Albania. For his contributions, he received the Congressional Ellis Island Medal of Honor and the highest awards of the Legions of Merit of Italy, Portugal, and Albania. Read More Read Less
