Her novel is inspired by her mother, plus stories and places from her memories. It has taken some17 years and determination, to finish. She has had a lengthy career in Sales and Marketing with Ansett Airlines lasting 28 years. A second career in fundraising at The Alfred hospital stretched to 16 years.She met her husband Ron Clifft in 2006 at a music venue where he played guitar and she sang. In 2017 they eloped, getting married on a clifftop in Queenscliff Victoria. Diane and Ron continue with their music, playing golf, and loving life on the beautiful Mornington Peninsular.
