Dhayana AlejandrinaDhayana Alejandrina is a Dominican writer and poet. She started to write short poems around the age of nine when she lived in the Dominican Republic. She used to write all over her bedroom walls and draw. When she was a child, her parents always encoraged her to follow her artistic side and be proud of everything she created. At the age of 13, in 2009, she moved to the United States with her family. She did not speak English but was able to learn it in a year and a half. She continued to write in her journal, but it wasn't until August 2018 that she first started to share her poetry online. Besides her focusing on writing, Dhayana holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with a Spanish minor and a Master's Degree in Human Resource Management. Dhayana considers herself a very dedicated and passionate individual who uses writing to connect with others and show the world that it is important understand and embrace all of our emotions through our journey in life."Writing is a form of love, a form of expression, a way to capture life."Dhayana sees her work as a representation of herself and the world around her.
