His books include The Marriage of Anna Maye Potts (winner of the Peter Taylor Prize for the Novel) and a trilogy in memoir concluding with Endings & Beginnings: Family Essays (MadHat), which was lnglisted for the PEN Award for the Art of the Essay, 2022; and a collection of notes and essays, Sweet Marjoram (MadHat 2018). His first poetry collection is Restless for Words: Poems (Finishing Line Press, 2023), and a new collection, Trim Reckonings: Poems, is forthcoming from Pierian Springs Press.
