Derek WolffUpon graduating from the University of Victoria in Environmental Studies, in the late 70's, Derek Wolff was hired with a group of environmentalists to open one of the first energy conservation centers, in Victoria BC. From there, he moved across the ond to Vancouver, where he joined two multi-disciplinary teams at Environment Canada, one involved in the research and drafting of a coastal resource atlas of BC, and the other assessing environmental impacts associated with the proposed Alaska Highway Gas pipeline. A few years later, he made a career change, to hone his writing skills as a free-lance reporter/correspondent for various Vancouver newspapers, magazines and national publications. After that, he rejoined the federal public service working in the areas of public education, media relations and communications.
