Derek SolomonDerek Solomon has been birding since his school days. This passion led to a career change which saw him running bird identification courses, guiding training programs and leading special interest safaris in southern Africa for over 35 years. He has pblished several books on bird identification and animal behavior, including one on LBJs (Little Brown Jobs), and a behavior guide to the mammals of Zambia's South Luangwa National Park. Together with two colleagues in Zambia, he recently published a digital application, 'Birds of Zambia'.
