THOMAS INGE is the Robert Emory Blackwell Professor of English and Humanities at Randolph-Macon College in Ashland, Virginia, where he teaches courses in American culture, film, humor, animation, and literature. He was the editor of the first two ditions of the Handbook of American Popular Culture (Greenwood Press).
