Denis DalliDenis Dalli completed his PhD in 2020 having performed an extensive study on the experimental and numerical aspects of composite crashworthiness modeling, in collaboration with McLaren Racing. He is currently researching the development of CNT-web baed inserts for use in innovative welding techniques of thermoplastic composites. He was recently awarded a Horizon 2020 Widening Fellowship to move to the University of Porto for a 2-year project focusing on experimental and numerical developments towards carbon neutral composite crashworthiness. His scientific publications have focused on the development of novel experimental characterization techniques for carbon fibre composite materials, as well as composite crashworthiness.
