del PopeDel Pope was born near Warner, Muskogee County, Oklahoma into a family of cowboy boot makers and leather workers. At eight years old, they moved to Borger, Texas, a rowdy oil boom town, where he got his schooling into High School. By fifteen, his fater said, This is your business college, and sent him to run a shoe shop in Sunray, Texas about fifty miles from home. Del married at nineteen and has since lived in 7 states and now settled in Mission Viejo California. He studied music and Christian Ministry at Pacific Bible College at Portland Oregon and Business Administration at the University of Hawaii. At this writing, he's eighty five years old and works as a handy man five to six days a week. Del is a member of Los Escribientes Writers Club and currently writing his autobiography.
