Debra A BakerDebra Baker is a "Christian on a mission," a dedicated mother to two adult children, and a retiree from the financial services industry since 2016, after nearly 35 years in the business. She held several leadership positions across four major Wall Steet firms focusing on finance, risk and analytics. Debra graduated magna cum laude from Niagara University in upstate New York with a B.S. in Economics. She is a former board director for both the Women's Bond Club (WBC) in New York City, and later served as a board director and subsequent chairperson for YWCA of the City of New York. Debra has been a participant in industry recognized programs and has been quoted in several industry related publications relating to global risk services. She was recognized in the Global Custodian "rising star" publication in 2005. She was also a founding member and executive steering committee member for a women's network launched by a major Wall Street firm. In 2011, Debra completed Harvard's Best Practices for Leadership seminar. In 2016, she was named one of the "Top 25 Black Women in Business" by the Network Journal. In 2021, she published her long-awaited memoir, Only Good Things. Debra was born and raised in the beautiful Hudson Valley region of New York. She enjoys spending time with her faith journey, her two adult children, Harry III and Courtney, extended family members and friends, and their pup, Frenchy Paris.
