Dayanidhi MishraDayanidhi Mishra was born in Tulandi near Barpali in 1891. He passed matriculation in first division from Zilla School, Sambalpur in 1911 and B.A. in 1st division from Patna University in 1915. His dedication to art, language, literature and culture as remarkable. He began his professional career as a teacher and later he was appointed personal secretary of the Director of Education, Govt of Bihar - Odisha in 1921. But he quit the job, completed his law degree and practiced law professionally. Inspired by Gandhiji, he dedicated himself to serve the motherland and worked to preserve language, literature and culture. He worked as the co-editor of the magazine Mukura from 1921 to 1925. He also edited the magazine Nabajuga. His literary works include Biraha Bansi (poetry collection), Nayana Tara, Manabhanjan, Sanjukta, Rana Pratap, Subhadra (novels) and Katha Kadamba (short story collection). He died in 1955.
