David SyringDAVID SYRING is Associate Professor of Anthropology at the University of Minnesota Duluth. His previous book, Places in the World a Person Could Walk: Family, Stories, Home, and Place in the Texas Hill Country, was a finalist for the Minnesota Book Aard.
