David ShoaltsDavid Shoalts is a hockey columnist for The Globe and Mail, Canada's national newspaper. He has covered hockey there since 1989. He has managed to survive the final days of Harold Ballard, one National Hockey League strike, and two lockouts. Shoalts rew up in Wainfleet, Ontario, and now lives with his wife and two children in Bolton, near Toronto.
