David SchimpfDavid Schimpf currently lives in Saginaw, Michigan, and is married to Linda Schimpf for 55 years. We have two wonderful children, Joseph, living in Saginaw, and Angela Matthis, married living in Washington, Connecticut. We also have 3 grandchildren, oe Schimpf, Freddie Matthis, and Eva Matthis.David was born on May 26, 1946, to Fred and Eva Schimpf, German/Russian immigrants from Oberdorf, Russia. He graduated from Arthur Hill High School in Saginaw and also attended Kettering University. He began to umpire softball in 1984 and is still involved by serving on the USA Softball of Michigan state umpire staff at the current time.
