David LemanczykDave has always had a fond love of basketball and physical training. He has committed his life to this pursuit of instruction. He played basketball as a Nassau Community College Lion for one year at small forward before accepting a basketball scholarhip and transferring to the University of Bridgeport. For two consecutive basketball seasons under head coach Bruce Webster (1998-2000), David led the N.E.C.C. in rebounds per game despite being undersized at 6'-4". While at the University of Bridgeport, Dave established himself as an All-Conference and All-Northeast performer. In Dave's senior season (1999-2000) his talents were recognized by professional scouts both domestically and internationally. Upon graduation from the University of Bridgeport in 2000, David signed a contract to play Professional European Basketball (CD. Nacional). This achievement represented a huge milestone for him and a continuance of the professional athletics family lineage. Dave played one year for C.D. Nacional located in Funchal, Madeira Island, Portugal. Lemanczyk averaged over twenty points and ten rebounds at the shooting guard position during his yearly stay. He would attend various free agent camps in the following three years (2001-2003) but would not sign another professional contract. In 2003, Dave decided to go back to school and earn a Master of Science in Physical Education from Hofstra University.
