David HysellDavid Hysell is a professor in the Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences at Cornell University, New York. His research focuses on ionospheric plasma physics, plasma instabilities, ionospheric irregularities, and their effects on radio wave proagation. An important research tool for studying the equatorial ionosphere is the Jicamarca Radio Observatory near Lima, Peru, which is the world's largest radar.
